OUR CORE FOUNDATIONS
We believe that the true purpose of church is to equip, enable, encourage and inspire followers of Christ to be the body of Christ according to the Biblical model of 1 Corinthians 12. For as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body.
To facilitate these goals, we offer a variety of Bible studies, small groups, and Christian education classes targeted to different age groups, men, women, couples, singles and more. Please explore the current studies and groups that we have available under the “small groups” tab and let us know if we can help you find a fit that meets your needs where you are right now.
Cross Community Church is committed to helping people connect to Jesus Christ in three vital areas:
Growing Up – To help people know Jesus Christ as their savior and to follow him as Lord so that they “grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).
Growing Together – To build a strong community with healthy relationships where we “carry each other’s burdens” and fulfill Christ’s command “to love one another” (Galatians 6:2, John 13:34).
Growing Out – To live a life of service in the church and in the world as we discover, develop, and use the gifts God gives us knowing that “the church grows and builds itself up in love as each part does its work”
We are a Christian community of Believers following Jesus Christ as Lord, making disciples of all nations through the power of the Holy Spirit for the glory of God.
“preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.” 2 Timothy 4:2
“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” John 4:24
“praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints” Ephesians 6:18
“that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:19-20
These “Basic Beliefs” are simply a summary of fundamental Christian beliefs for teaching purposes and is not intended to be an official ecclesiastical statement as found in the Church of God statement of faith to which we hold as an official statement.
